The death penalty is the most serious case in the criminal law. If you can handle a death penalty case beginning to end, you can try any case in the criminal law. In South Carolina, in order to be death penalty certified you have to have a requisite number of felony trials as well as having second sharing capital cases. I've done both and been recognized by the Supreme Court as having done that.
